History
  • Hengrove School was a residential school that applied a therapeutic community model to the education and care of its pupils. The school opened in 1947 and operated for fifty years before closing in 1997. The school was founded by Lisa Gobell. The lead child psychiatrist was Margaret Lowenfeld.
